Who we are

An independent garage that does things properly

MechTronic is an independent car repair garage right in the heart of Kilmarnock. We specialise in the jobs that worry drivers most, clutches, gearboxes and tricky electrical faults, as well as everyday servicing, MOT prep, brakes and recovery.

Over the years we have become the garage Ayrshire drivers recommend to friends and family. People travel to us from Ayr, Irvine, Troon and as far as Largs because they trust us to find the real problem, fit the right parts and charge a fair price.

Our new premises is kitted out with the latest tools and dealer-level diagnostic equipment, which means we can look after everything from classic runarounds to modern performance cars, hybrids and EVs. Absolutely outstanding service from Mechtronic! I recently had the clutch replaced on my Audi A5 and the whole experience was first class from start to finish. The team were friendly, knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the repair. The work was completed quickly and to an incredibly high standard, the car drives perfectly now and feels better than ever. It is hard to find honest, reliable garages these days, but Mechtronic really went above and beyond. Great value for money, excellent customer service and genuine attention to detail. I would not hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy garage in the Kilmarnock area. Easily a 5-star experience!

I urgently needed the clutch/DMF replaced on my Qashqai 1.6DCi, as I needed the vehicle for a long journey. The drive shaft (a known problem with this model which had done over 92k miles on the original clutch) had also seized and had to be replaced. Mechtronic performed the necessary repairs in time for my journey. The service was efficient and friendly.

Called MechTronic in relation to issues with the clutch and gearbox in my Audi S3. The guys arrived to collect the car the next day at my house and I was kept up to date by Diane throughout the process who was so helpful with all my questions. Very quick turn around and now my car is driving like new again. Can’t thank the team enough and highly recommend!

I only found out about this garage recently. My older car needed to replace the clutch. All local garages had minimum waiting time of 2 weeks. But here, my car was booked for repair the very next day. Since, I been there few times. Staff is always very polite and helpful, prices are affordable. I 100% recommend this garage for any repairs and vehicle recovery. Thank you so much for your help!

Went in with limp mode due to issues with my dsg gearbox. Was quickly diagnosed and gearbox was repaired and i drove out days later brilliant work would highly recommend.
